Hi, I recently used your auto tank 3 part sealer kit and followed the instructions very closely. However it is always humid here so maybe that is the reason I have 4 small very hard bubbles on the bottom. My question is will that cause any problems down the line because I really don't have time to wait to reseal the tank.

There is also a small flat cylinder type device which the metal tubing goes to, I'm guessing it's the fuel return but I'm not a mechanic. My question for that is could the sealer have damaged it? I cannot feel any openings on it so all I did was sand the rust off it, cleaned it with the first 2 parts of the kit. Then covered it with duct tape while I sealed.

 Thanks in advance

I bought a gallon of the rust blast and a gallon of the silver rust sealer. I removed all of the flakey rust and loose paint with a 5" wire wheel on my side grinder. I then sanded the entire trailer(outside) with 80 grit. I then used the rust blast in the spots where there was active rust. I did small areas at a time so I could keep it wet for at least an hour. I washed off the trailer and painted the entire trailer with a thin coat using a brush so I could get every nook and cranny. Any of the areas that had a run or if the paint was heavier, the paint drys with a "beaded up" look. Looks terrible. Those areas have to be completely sanded down almost to metal. So I decided to spray the second coat on to get a more uniform coating and wound up with the same thing. Anywhere the paint is a little heavy, it drys looking like sandpaper. Could it be temperature related? I realize that I'm not going to get a showroom finish unless I topcoat it, but this just looks bad!

Hiya,

I have got air bubbles in quite a few areas of my painted floorpan. I beleive I was applying it too thickly. I presume I need to sand these areas down and re-paint?
If they do need repainting then do I have to go back to metal or just until the surface is smooth and the air bubbles have been exposed?

Thanks,
Mike

I think I applied under humidity that was slightly too high. I have very small bubbles in the finish and I would like to find out what I need to do here.

Hoping I do not have to strip and start over. this was just the first coat.
I plan on putting 3 coats down, then followed by Blacktop.

Also, how long MAX should I wait between coats of rustseal? I have limited time to work on this project and will probably be giving coats every night until done.
Thanks
Ryan
