  1. I have an 86 zx1000 gas tank with a kream coat in it that has holes in it. I bout a POR-15 strip and seal kit. I used the stripper and it just softened the kream. I then bought a bottle of acetone. The acetone just softened also. I could only scape away the coat directly under the gas cap. Other than that spot it had no effect. The local radiator shop wont do it. Anyone know of a way besides these techniques to get rid of the coat that I can do myself??? Im looking to save money but Im really trying to get riding within the next two weeks!!!!
  2. Kreem is supposed to be dissolved with MEK. We use a MUCH better stripper than POR15 named Dad's Easy Spray and it takes care of Kreem. That POR stripper was probably old stuff too.

By the way, this is a KBS Coatings site definitely not a por-15 site, but we know POR offers really no support whatsoever therefore your questions will be handled appropriately.
