Hello, I just ordered a quart of KBS rustseal in iron oxide. My plan is to use this to seal the internal casting surfaces of an outboard marine engine. The internal parts of the engine were originally painted with a ferrous chrome primer - of course which, is no longer available. After a long search for a substitute paint, I found your product. My question is weather the paint will withstand application to water jacket surfaces that will be constantly wet with water up to 180 degrees F. The paint will also be applied to the crankcases where raw gasoline/oil vapor (2 cycle) will constantly wash over it. These surfaces will all be media blasted with Aluminum Oxide - after which will be cleaned with detergent, washed with hot water, and allowed to dry completely. I don't plan to use any other prep before using your product. Is this acceptable? Also, not sure if I will apply with brush or use my air pot. I did purchase your thinner also. Lastly, what solvent is best used for cleaning my spray gun after use of your product?
Thank You
